How to boost your chances of getting that flight Attendant Job in Nigeria (2)

6. APPROPRIATE HEIGHT

Height range may vary from airline to airline. The size of aircraft cabin and head room may also determine the height range in some Airlines.  The most common height range is between 5ft 2in and 6ft 2in. However, this may reduce if the aircraft is smaller. You may be wondering why the height requirement? Well, this is to ensure that whilst standing you are tall enough that your hands can reach the overhead bins, as well as be able to manipulate the emergency equipment and  items stored there. But also, not so tall that you have to crouch in the cramped airplane aisles.

7. WELL GROOMED

Is not enough to look good and attractive, your personal grooming matters a great deal. Looking well groomed is a plus any day. How neatly dressed you are, your carriage, confidence, facial expression and entire body language all go a long way in boosting your chances. You may not believe this, as simple as a smile may seem, wear it with pride, the world would be at your feet. As a matter of fact, i would strongly recommend you start dressing and acting like the flight attendant you wish to become.

8. CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE

The focus of Airlines is the customer. This is not negotiable. To achieve this, they would always require the services of people who have customer service experience and  service-oriented. So having Customer Service training and experience will definitely give you an edge.

9. ABILITY TO SWIM

This is not a compulsory requirement by most Nigerian Airlines. But if you plan to seek for a flight attendant job with foreign airlines, I would advise t you make out time to go for swimming lessons. I once worked for an Airline that required every flight attendant to be good swimmers. I learnt under pressure, which was not funny. So i would simply advise that you do it at your leisure so you can perfect it at your own pace.  A combination of preparation and opportunity naturally results in success.
