Bauchi airport today…
“When aircraft has no airstairs and Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) did not provide boarding stair truck, ladder is to the rescue.”
The information reaching me reveals that the Aircraft was a chartered flight to Bauchi. The Airport Manager assured the operators that Airstairs will be provided. But on arrival the one provided malfunctioned. It so happened that the Groom who was onboard became desperate as it was 20 minutes to Start of his Wedding. So he had to alight from the aircraft by any available means.
Embarassing isn’t it? Hmmm…Ncaa where art thou? Incidents like this can no longer be veiled. This is a safety issue. Observers are watching….and talking…..
Please, how does NCAA come into this. The Airport manager had said there will be stairs for use before the airline decided to go there. Call on FAAN and not NCAA
