An eye witness has reported that there was a big ruckus at Abuja Airport today. According to the source, the passengers of Medview airlines traveling to Maiduguri blocked the boarding gate because their flight had been cancelled thereby preventing all other airlines from boarding. I learnt they later reinstated the flight when the passengers refused to budge.
The fact remains that sometimes, due to operational reasons there may be flight delays or worst case cancellations. But the question is:
How effective are our Airlines in communicating flight information for situations to degenerate to these levels?. Are they carrying along the passengers in a timely manner?
Seemingly, it is becoming quite easy for passengers to beseige the boarding gate and prevent other passengers from boarding flights when they are aggrieved. Should they be blamed totally for such actions? On the other hand, Is it fair to prevent other innocent passengers from boarding their flights? Are our Avsec officials becoming helpless? Too many puzzling questions…..
Na wah! the drama never ends..does it?

The Airlines should learn to stop taking their customers for granted. And it’s not just the airlines in this part of the world. Most of the time to get the right kind of service you have to shout or create a scene.
