Arik German Passenger Slumps At Lagos Airport, Dies In An Undisclosed Hospital

A German, Mr Brenard Christo, who slumped on Friday at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) also known as Domestic Terminal 1 of the Murtala Mohammed Airport,(MMA),Lagos while waiting to Board Arik Air  flight to Benin has died in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos, Abelnews reports.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Airport Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Joseph Alabi, confirmed the   development today.

The Police spokesman stated that the deceased was waiting to board a local Arik Air flight on Friday morning to his destination, when he suddenly collapsed.

He said medical officials attached to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) immediately rushed to the scene to assist the German citizen.

He added that he was eventually taken to an undisclosed hospital where he later died.

The Media Consultant to Arik Air, Mr Simon Tumba, also confirmed the incident.

According to him, “What happened was that a passenger enroute Benin, when he was boarding, slumped and collapsed.

He continued, “And Arik, being a responsible carrier promptly contacted the medics from FAAN and it was when the medics took him to the hospital that he later died.”
