We have seen the need and therefore request and solicit that you join us in taking the lead. This Conference will articulate the various submissions on airport privatization in the past. Such as the works of the Committee set up by past administrations one of which was led by veteran Aviator Captain Dele Ore. It will further galvanize stakeholders and support industries such as banks and insurance companies to identify, understand, be involved and be relevant in the airport privatization implementation process.

AIM OF THE CONFERENCE

Imagine that Nigeria never took the bold step to privatize the telecom industry some sixteen years ago. Imagine we were still in the NITEL ERA. Aviation must shift from the present era as it is now. Hence, the dare need for you to support this clarion call. The Aviation Stakeholders Conference;

• Will aim at requesting government to establish clear processes and procedures for concessions.
• Local and Foreign Bidders/ Investors will have a clear direction and extent of concessions
• It will request and demand an established Scope and specifics of the concession.
• It will further try to establish governments Parameters for selection and determination of concessions vis a vis international practices.
• It will create an opportunity for existing private operators to come together for the first time to address concerns as it affects regulations, taxes, government expectations and adherence to standard recommended practices (SARPS).
