Meet our Aviator of the day: Pretty Mrs. Josephine Sidikat Benard. Popularly called Auntie Sidi. She is an icon in the Aviation industry.This ageless and great Flight Attendant and Trainer has been in the aviation industry in Nigeria for decades. She has worked with Nigeria Airways, Max Air and Currently Ncaa.

You can not talk about Nigeria flight attendants without mentioning her. She has contributed tremendously to the aviation industry, grooming flight attendants who are today excelling in different Airlines.

Auntie Sidi is an ideal example of how a flight attendant should be: “Confident, Good carriage and gait”

Her famous quotes which has stuck in my head over the years:

“As a flight attendant, you must always carry your self well. Exude confidence, be proud of your job. Your office is up there in the skies…The job prepares you for life endeavours…Always see your self as an embodiment of many things by virtue of your role as a flight attendant. Flying indirectly prepares you for so many roles… an event planner. A caterer, a First Aider, Psychologist, hostess…There is dignity in labour.”

This great woman celebrated her 60th birthday last year. Amazingly, She still looks as fit as a fiddle and can actually give younger Flight attendants a run for their money. She sure rocks as she ages gracefully. Am glad am a beneficiary of her insightful trainings.
