The situation is asuming a new twist as some Concerned Aero staffs feels the way to address the issues at hand is not to disrupt Operations and put people out of work.

Dear Colleagues,,
We write as a group of concerned people of Aero contractors on the recent
happenings in our great company.We need to ask ourselves these questions. Should we close Aero down with
our own hands? Is strike or disruption the best way to resolve disputes,
skirmishes and disagreements? The answer is definitely a big NO.We do not support corruption but the channel to fight corruption should be
followed. Aero will never be another Air Nigeria ,Bellview or Nigeria
Airways. Aero must survive because we cannot afford another shut down. NCAA
are waiting for one senseless move and the rest will be history. We cannot
be like the Dinosaur that can only be remember by it bones from
archeologist.Come to think about it, Comrade Abioye is championing corruption issues.
Has any of us bothered to ask why he was sacked as ATSSSAN SECRETARY
GENARAL? Ask the president Benjamin to narrate the story how he had used
the Union letter headed paper is siphoning money from aviation
establishments illegally before he was finally caught. That same person has
no moral right whatsoever to accuse people of corruption. Benji,is it a
case of plea bargain for Abioye?Fellow Aero workers, let us come as one to find a solution to our problem
and a way forward. We have avenues of channeling our complains and
grievances. We need to be well informed before we act. What makes anyone of
us a member of the union are our Jobs, without Aero we cannot be union
members. What makes the union are the members, so every member should be
carried along not by the usual voice votes.Where is Capt Akin George and our Chairman Akin Akingbehimi? We have
silently forgotten them. They are human beings with families and we didn’t
not rise up to occasion. Now we are rising up because of Capt Russell
Leefoon and his group? We need to know the truth rather than been carried
away by sentiments and sweet presentation of his group. Our leader was
sponsored secretly to Kenya to attend a commercial course rather than a
ground operation course. We are not saying he is not entitled to go for
training but should we all go through the back door? Shouldnt he be
bothered about our own training first? Capt Lee knew why he did this. Find
out the truth before you conclude.We should ask ourselves who owns the companies that have been stealing from
Aero. Rather refer to OBARO a the chairman of the group we are dancing
around. Who does barrister WAHAB of Walls and Ace represent or Austin
peters? Find out or tell EFCC to unravel this before we conclude.My people, let us eschew sentiments and parochial cleavages and face the
fact. We have decided to come to work and keep Aero alive. We don’t want to
bore you but to allow you reflect and think.We should all pray for aero
this night if you are concerned rather than have sleepless night
strategizing to disrupt activities. The Almighty will see us through.AMEN

You can now speak of Akin Akingbehin. We all sat back and watched while the former management victimized him and 5 others for an alleged fraud without proof while committing a monumental one and used them as a smoke screen to cover their tracks. We all believed the lies we were told and never bothered to ask real questions. The unions looked the other way and did nothing to rise up to their defense while they were unjustly treated and suspended even though we have stipulated guidelines when it comes to staff. This same now suspended chairman said of Akin and the other 5 that they were on their own, now you want us to shut down the company. For what? If injury to one is really injury to all, why did we not take any action when our colleagues were being mal treated by management? You cannot expect to reap what or where you have not sown. Nothing has changed, the mismanagement has gotten worse. Staff welfare has gone to the dogs since the days of the last chairman and all promises have gone unfulfilled. Until injury to one really becomes injury to all, we are deceiving ourselves. You cannot sell out the management to the board, sell out your colleagues to management for personal gratification and totally expose the company to the dangers we have witnessed in the recent years and expect that we will line up behind you.
JOY THIS IS WHAT I SAID IN THE FIRST PUBLICATION. A LOT OF CAMPS IN AERO OVER THE YEARS, ALL CLAIMING STAFF INTEREST. THEY NEED TO THREAD CAREFULLY AS THEIR COLLECTIVE JOB IS AT STAKE. AVIATION WILL SUFFER IN THE LONG RUN
Aero workers, be wise. Make your company strong. If Aero goes down, and you are thrown out of job, any new job you seek for will ask for your antecedent. And nobody would like to recruit from the remnants of a company that has folded up. Be wise.
Oga Uche Ajadi, this is a masterful display of the art of straddling the fence! Sir, this is no time for sitting on the fence . Anyone who believes he has a stake in Aero MUST take a stand and stand up to be counted. Everyone must state his stand clearly so that an aggregate view can be collated and a clear view of what the stakeholders think can be surmised! Unfortunately I am not adequately appraised of the current situation for me to take an informed stand but I shall be watching closely so as to get an education on the matter.
This is apparently factions at war. Surprised that these employees are still politicising in the midst of the present condition of the airline. It is like in the old adage: “pursuing rats when one’s house is on fire”. Don’t forget that when this airline goes down, non will be in any Union to play any politics, or if you think it is an institution that will not going down, consider the present condition vis a vis what aero used to be. If you have to be reminded, then it is too late.
