Imokhuede was working in the ground services department of Virgin Nigeria, but he had a dream, to become a Pilot. Well, that dream has become a reality today. The Ground to Air story i call it..

I celebrate him today because his story is quite inspiring.

Who is Imokhuede Ozoya?

“Ozoya Imokhuede is a gentle young man, easy going and focused who had a dream ever since he first entered a plane when he was 6 years old to become a pilot.”

What challenge did you face transiting from ground services to the Cockpit?

“The major challenge faced getting to the cockpit was finance. It took me 3 years to get my Commercial Pilots Licence due to start and stop because of money issues. I really thank God for the grace of not quitting but always having faith and looking ahead and not at the problem.”

How has it been for you?

“I thank God for my Mom (May she continue to rest in peace) and my dad. They believed in me and did all that could to provide their own contribution.

I would also like to add that my wife Adetomike was supportive throughout the period of my schooling. She was there for me at every stage. Always looking out for me and making sure I was not hungry. I have to say after I finished in 2012, I rushed back to Nigeria to come and start work. Unfortunately I did not get a job until January 2015. I thank God and it’s been fun ever since.

Well what can i say? There is always a story behind every sucess. You can achieve your dreams only if you work hard and remain Resilient.
