It has been confirmed that Max Air a Nigerian Airline based in Kano which operates hajj flights has terminated the appiontment of most of its staffs.
According to confirmed sources this is not the first time staffs are been sacked. Unfortunately this time around it affected the management cadre as well.
The reasons given by the Airline for the decision as stated in their letters is that :
“In view of the Persistent seasonal nature of our operations and high cost of maintaining staffing positions during lean period, the management has decided to rationalise the staffing position to a managable level.
Consequently to inform you that your Services will no longer be required effective 28th february.”
Hmmm…the Aviation Industry in Nigeria is becoming more unstable. Jobs are no longer secured. More Aviators are been thrown into the already saturated unemployement market.
With most of staffs laid off, i wonder what happens during the next hajj.
