The court case between sacked Nigeria based Virgin Atlantic Crew and Virgin Atlantic commences today the 8th of February 2016 by 9am at the National Industrial  Court at 31, Lugard Avenue Ikoyi, Lagos.

The twenty Crew Members were relieved of their jobs Effective November 30th 2015 by virgin Atlantic on the grounds that their services was no longer required. The primary purpose of having a locally based cabin crew they explained was to provide cultural expertise and customer feedback which was no longer a requirement on the Lagos route.

Their lawyer, Chief Felix Fagbohungbe, SAN, wrote a letter dated 3rd of November protesting the planned termination of their job without any prior hint or consultation and for no reasonable cause.

The Concerned Crew are not happy with the discriminatory and abrupt termination of their jobs without enough notice and severance package. They feel unjustly treated and have decided to go to court to seek redress.

As the case commences tomorrow we can only wait and see how it swings…..
