10 Private Jet Operators Face Suspension for Failing to Meet Recertification Deadline

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended the permits of 10 private jet operators for failing to commence the recertification process.

NCAA’s Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Micheal Achimugu in a news release says, this is a result of their flagrant disregard for the rules that prohibit them from operating commercially.

He explained that, as of April 19, 2024, all holders of Private Non-Commercial Flight (PNCF) permits were required to undergo re-evaluation, unfortunately, these operators failed to comply with this directive.

To ensure public safety, the NCAA has taken a decisive action: suspended the permits of the 10 private jet operators for non-compliance and has deployed officials to monitor activities at General Aviation Terminals (GAT) and private wings of airports.

Those whose operations have been grounded with the permits suspension, he listed to include; Azikel Dredging Nigeria Ltd, Bli-Aviation Safety Services, Ferry Aviation Developments Ltd, Matrix Energy Ltd, Marrietta Management Services Ltd, Worldwide Skypaths Services, Mattini Airline Services Ltd, Aero Lead Ltd, Sky Bird Air Ltd and Ezuma Jets Ltd.

Achimugu warned that any PNCF holder found operating illegally will face enforcement actions and advised the public that it is illegal to engage PNCF holders for commercial purposes.
