Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has reiterated his administration’s unwavering support for the state’s aviation ecosystem, comprising Ibom Air, Smart Terminal, and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities.

The Governor who stated this during a recent inaugural commercial flight from Uyo to Lagos and back, applauded the intentional vision behind the projects, which he believes will revolutionize the aviation industry in Nigeria.

He solicited the federal government partnership with the state to achieve this goal emphasizing that the state has a plan in place and is diligently working towards its implementation, as evident in the recent launch of Ibom Air’s commercial services.

According to him, his vision is to create a comprehensive aviation ecosystem in Uyo, which would not only benefit Ibom Air but also cater to the needs of other airlines operating in the region.

He expressed confidence that the state’s deliberate planning and execution would yield significant results, making Uyo a major aviation hub in the region.
