International women’s day:Engr.Maureen Omotitiri Udale-Ameh


Today is the international women’s day.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2019, is “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change. ”

In line with this special day, we have decided to feature some of our Aviation Amazons. Women in Aviation who are changing the narratives around the female gender. These are women with compelling and inspiring stories in Nigeria and around the world.  They are doing us proud, have braved all odds and redefined womanhood. Women who are holding their own and have continously pushed boundaries and proven to the world that their place is no longer in the Kitchen and the other room…… .

Ladies and gentlemen,Meet ENGR. (MRS) MAUREEN OMOTITIRI UDALE-AMEH. She is currently the Manager, Maintenance Control at Executive Jet . She is also married to a Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. .

Engr Maureen is obviously holding her own in this male dominated field.. She is such an energetic, hardworking and very vibrant woman.

She was born in the 60s…She attended St Louis Secondary School, Bompai , Kano (WASC – 1979). Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna (Mechanical Engineering – 1983) NYSC-1984
She started her Career with Nigeria Airways Limited – 1985-2004. She joined Space World International Airlines between 2004-2005. She was in Virgin Nigeria Airways and Air Nigeria  between 2005-2012. Discovery Airways Limited – 2012-2015, she is currently with Air Peace Limited – 2016.

Engineer Maureen Obtained the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence in Airframe and Powerplant with the following aircraft covers: • Boeing 737-200/300/400/500 • Embraer 170 and 190 • Airbus A340-300/400/500/600

APPOINTMENTS • Certifying Engineer and Workshop Inspector (Nigeria Airways Limited) • Certifying Engineer (Space World Int. Airline) • Certifying Engineer (Virgin Nigeria) • Line Maintenance Manager (Virgin Nigeria) • Chief Inspector (Air Nigeria) • Head of Maintenance (Air Nigeria) • Head Engineering Services (Discovery Airways Ltd) • Member of the Ministerial Committee on the Establishment of a National Carrier. • Head of Maintenance (Air Peace Ltd)
