LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – A Spirit Airlines flight was briefly delayed Saturday at McCarran International Airport after a passenger took off all clothing while boarding.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. on the flight bound for Oakland, California. The flight was supposed to depart around 11:28 a.m. and was delayed until noon. It arrived about 20 minutes behind schedule.

McCarran officials said the passenger then approached a flight attendant. Police and medical were called and the passenger was taken in for observation.

Spirit Airlines released a statement regarding the incident.

“This situation is not normal for Spirit or any airline. Apparently this person was experiencing some sort of medical episode. This event is now being handled by law enforcement and emergency medical personnel in Las Vegas.”
