According to information obtained by Airporthaber; Eda Ozdemir committed suicide by hanging in the hotel room, while on lay over in new York city

This comes just months after a 28-year-old, Turkish Airlines flying chef, committed suicide by hanging himself at the same hotel last April.

Eda Ozdemir teammates in the United States was said to be currently in the query.
