Dre aviation have announced a further strengthening of ties with Dana Air, Nigeria’s leading commercial airline.
As part of dre aviation’s expansion across West Africa, they have seconded Sandip Chowdhury from Dana Air to support their airport supervision contract of Meridiana fly’s operations in Lagos.
Sandip is a seasoned airline professional and started his career in commercial aviation in 1993 in India, by joining Jet Airways as a check-in agent and rose the ranks of airport manager of metro cities of India (handling 50-60 daily flights, domestic & international).
Subsequently, he held roles with Paramount Airways & Volk Airlines, as GM-Airport Services
He has training for fraud detection by the British Embassy and has undertaken IATA training for cargo loading (BLD/ULD). He also attended the IATA advanced ramp handling & ground flight safety courses and is versed in Sabre systems tha include: GDS,CRS , DCS project along with CODECO of KLM.
He has also undergone intense training on customer service conducted by Singapore Airlines & I also held a valid weight & balance license for B-737 : 300/400/500/700/800/900 , AB-330/340 & ATR-72/500 series of airplanes.
During his period with Jet Airways (for over 17 years) he was posted as airport manager in various international locations such, Dhaka, Kathmandu, Colombo, Doha , London Heathrow, Dubai & Brussels.
