Our Aviators of the day are the Emirates Crew of flight EK521 who successfully evacuated all  passengers within 90seconds.

On August 3 2016, An Emirates airline flight EK521 from India crash-landed at Dubai International Airport with 300 people on board. Miraculously, no fatalities were recorded as the 18 crew members successfully evacuated the 282 passengers in 90 seconds before the Aircraft exploded.

Whilst we are still basking In the euphoria of the successful evacuation with no loss of lives, we must not forget the real heroes who put their lives on the line: The Crew.

As Crew members, Often times we remind ourselves of our immediate actions in an event of an emergency. Really and truly, we don’t pray it happens..as we can not predetermine the nature of emergency and how things will pan out. This particular flight was an example. According to reports, it was not a planned one, as the Airplane was in the process of going around when things suddenly went out of control.

Obviously, mental Alertness is a key factor you can not take away from these Crew. They displayed the highest level of Professionalism and Competence by ensuring what they were primarily trained to do: The safety of passengers. Their performance was quite impressive and commendable. They are our heroes….

Properly trained and well motivated Crew would perform exceptionally when necessary.

mamajsaviationblog celebrates them today. Well done! Much respect!
