Max Airline plans Boeing 747-300 series phase-out

 

As part of its plan to phase out Boeing 747-300 series, Max Airline has acquired two new Boeing 747-400 series  to boost  its fleet.

Its Public Relations Manager, Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru disclosed this to reporters shortly after one of its aircraft landed at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano at the weekend.

According to him, the aircraft, with a 503 sitting capacity, is the latest model in the world, as it is fuel-economy and second to none in terms of safety.

He said: “We have acquired two new Boeing 747-400 series aircraft and have  already taken delivery of one, while the second is expected in the country within the next few week.

“This is part of our plan to phase out the 747-300 series in our fleet. With these two newly acquired aircraft, we now have three Boeing 747-400 series,  in our fleet,.“

With the acquisition of the new aircraft, he said the airline is now fully ready to commence this year’s Hajj operation.

The aircraft, with the inscription of the late Alhaji Barau Tukur Mangal was brought from Hong Kong.
