Turkish Airlines plane skids off runway in Kosovo

A Turkish Airlines Boeing 737 carrying 150 passengers and crew has skidded off the runway at Pristina International Airport in Kosovo, Anadolu agency reported.

No injuries were reported in Monday evening’s incident which happened when Flight TK1019 from Istanbul lost traction while landing in wet conditions.

The incident has forced a temporary closure of the airport.

A Turkish Airlines press official, Yahya Ustun, tweeted that all passengers and crew had been safely evacuated from the aircraft.

Efforts are underway to recover the plane from the end of the runway.
