2016-04-07--04_24_26

Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is introducing three additional passenger flights per week between Johannesburg and Abu Dhabi during the months of July until September (inclusive) to cater for the increased demand on this busy route over the summer.

Complementing the airline’s existing daily service between the two cities, the new flights will be operated by a combination of Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 777 aircraft, offering a total of 2,200 additional seats in Business Class and 21,500 additional seats in Economy Class over the three-month period.

“These additional flights offer greater flexibility for the large numbers of guests travelling between the UAE and the GCC region, and South Africa over the summer period,” said John Friel, Etihad Airways’ General Manager, South Africa.“They also provide our guests travelling from South Africa with greater access to a large number of popular holiday destinations across our global network, in Asia, the Indian Sub-continent, Australia and the USA.”
