Wow! Capt. Horace Millar-Jaja hits 35 solid years in flying…
He started his aviation career in 1983 and has been a Captain since 1991 flying mostly the Boeing family.
Amazingly, he was the first Nigerian pilot to fly an Airbus A340-500 aircraft. The feat was achieved by Captain Horace Millar-Jaja and Flight Officer Imomoh Bodeame, who were trained at the Airbus Company in Toulouse, France by Arik Air. A mile stone achievement for Captain Horace Millar-Jaja.
He has flown without any accident or Incident for 35 years…A landmark achiement i would say in this very sensitive industry.
In honour of this special day, see what he post on facebook today:
“My number today………is 23…
February 23rd 1981 I walked into Oxford Air Training school Kidlington ..on a cold foggy morning to start this flying lark .
I remember saying to my self what have I let myself into …G BBZF The Cherokee was the first airplane I ever flew .
The rest is history .”
Interestingly, Capt. Horace- Millar Jaja has not only flown other aircrafts after, he has also worked with different world class international airlines.
He sure is a force to reckon with in the Aviation industry in Nigeria.
Congratulations Skipper!
