Emirates flight from Beijing diverted to Karachi

An Emirates Airline flight between Beijing in Dubai was diverted to Karachi on Monday because a passenger required emergency medical attention, according to an Emirates spokesperson.

The flight – EK309 – departed Beijing at 7:08am (local time) and landed in Karachi at 11:36am (local time).

“The passenger was assisted off the aircraft to be attended by medical professionals,” the spokesperson said. “The aircraft has since departed Karachi and is schedule to land in Dubai at 1:45pm local time.”

“Emirates apologises for any inconvenience. The safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount important,” the spokesperson added.
