Its flights will go from Lagos and Port Harcourt to Libreville in Gabon from February 12.

It will be the first international routine to be launched this year by any Nigerian airline and also the first in the series of new destinations the airline is planning for its 10th anniversary.

In a statement, Arik Air’s spokesman, Ola Adebanji said the Lagos-Port Harcourt-Libreville service will operate thrice weekly on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday out of Lagos/Port Harcourt and on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday out of Libreville.

According to its schedule, an outbound 5.20pm flight from Lagos will fly one and a half hour to Port Harcourt for a 45-minute stopover before proceeding to Libreville.

Inbound flights will leave Libreville at 7.30am for a one hour and fifteen-minute flight to Port Harcourt, and then continue to Lagos after a 45-minute stopover.

Arik Air’s Managing Director/Executive Vice President, Chris Ndulue said, “Connecting Lagos and Port Harcourt with Libreville is a perfect synergy because the three cities are important trade centers in West/Central Africa.”

“Travelers on this route have a lot to look forward to in terms of safety and quality service which is a hallmark of Arik Air.”
