The Sixtieth Post Humous Birthday Lecture for Late Capt. Layi Onadeko held successfully yesterday at the Ncaa Annex with plans to immortalise his name at Ncat Zaria.
Family, friends, colleagues and well wishers were there to honour him with their presence.
Among dignitaries at the lecture were: Capt. Kiddie Dare who represented the Dg of Ncaa. Capt Adolphus, Capt. Horace Millar-Jaja, Capt Kolawole Adesina, Capt Ade Ajibola, Mr. Oyetayo, Mrs Sidi Bernand, Franca Akpasubi, Kunbi Leshi, Capt. Caulcrick, the Rector of Ncat Zaria amongst others.
The different speakers eulogised the late Capt. Layi Onadeko for his remarkable Virtues and qualities. They all had the same thing to say about him : He was a Great Pilot, Very Competent, Disciplined, Harworking, family oriented and was a Professional to the core.
Capt. Caulcrick who made a Paper Presentation: Flying safe, keeping fit” expressed gratitude for the great honour to be invited as guest speaker.
In a bid to immortalise his name, some Pilot friends; Capt Horace Millar-Jaja, Kiddie Dare, Layi Oriowo have kick started the process at Ncat in Zaria to be called “Layi’s Corner”. Books were donated at the event to be added to “Layi’s Corner’ and Pilots were urged to donate Aviation books to help boost Layi’s Corner. Plans to officially launch it in June next year was announced.
The wife of late Capt Layi thanked everyone for coming. She also expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the support the friends and family have shown to her and the kids after his demise.
